This program provides advanced practice in organizational applications of the Cape Cod Model. It will feature supervised practice with actual organizations, presentation of current theory and practice, opportunities to discuss and share how working with organizations is similar to and different from working with a personal system, and work on your own organizational case study.
As in a Master Class, you will have the opportunity to be observed and coached as you are working with a client, receiving feedback from master facilitators as well as the client group themselves. You will learn to sharpen your ability to consult with groups on their process while they work on their content agenda, and get to see the impact of the model on a real functioning social system. This intensive program provides three days of practice, two of them with invited clients. One day is devoted to case consultation in which you will work with your own cases, providing a great opportunity to get clarity about troublesome issues.
Participation will be limited, and there is a low faculty-student ratio to allow for intensive individual concentration. Since the focus is on integrating learning and sharpening intervention skills, this program can be repeated. This offers the advantage of providing an ongoing learning community to support your continued growth and development.
