This weekend workshop is a rare opportunity to work with other women in exploring the issues that face us as we go out into the world to work as professionals, consultants, executives, or volunteers. We will explore how we face the same professional issues as men, as well as others that reflect the expectations of the culture in which we were raised and the environment in which we work. We will examine our view of ourselves, our values, and how well we fit into the roles we play in the world. We will then look outward to understand the dynamics of power and influence, how to use our power and influence more effectively, and how to respond when we feel challenged or diminished. Using this knowledge, we will explore how to see a broader range of choices and how to be more comfortable with risk and making new decisions.
The workshop will combine individual and small group exercises in exploration and skill development, with time for reflection and sharing experiences and personal challenges. In order to allow for more peer learning and interaction, this workshop includes Friday dinner and Saturday lunch.
