Philip Brownell

Philip Brownell, PsyD, is a psychologist, Gestalt psychotherapist, trainer, writer and editor. He has over forty years' experience working with people in various capacities including as a neuropsychiatric technician for the US Navy, line staff for residential treatment of children and adolescents, mental health therapist on the ICU of a co-occurring disorders residential treatment program, EAP counselor, senior psychologist working in community mental health, and as a psychologist and organizational consultant in private practice.

He has conducted training of psychotherapists in North America, South America, Australia, and Europe, and has played an active role in stimulating and supporting research focused on Gestalt therapy and its applications.
