Edwin C. Nevis, PhD (1926-2011)

Edwin C. Nevis, PhD, was the co-founder of GISC, a member of its faculty, past president and member of GISC's Board of Directors. Recipient of the OD Network's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010, Edwin practiced organizational consulting for nearly sixty years in addition to his worldwide work in advanced training of OD consultants.

Edwin's career included seventeen years on the faculty of the Sloan School of Management at MIT where he taught courses in organization change and consulting.
He also served as a core faculty member and Director of the MIT Program for Senior Executives. Edwin also helped found the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland and its OSD Programs.

Edwin authored numerous articles and several books, including Organizational Consulting: A Gestalt Approach; Intentional Revolutions (with Lancourt and Vassallo); and How Organizations Learn (with DiBella).

In 2010, GISC released his most recent book, Mending the World: Social Healing Interventions by Gestalt Practitioners Worldwide (co-edited by Joseph Melnick).
